OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2011. FAS Russia is considering a petition of “AeroService Complex” Ltd. for purchasing 68% voting shares of “Tolmachevo Airport” OJSC through an auction, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The auction is organised by the Federal Agency for State Property Management.

The purpose of the transaction – obtain a possibility to influence activities of the economic entity through its management bodies, building up an efficient system of company management, enhancing the quality of services offered by “Tolmachevo Airport” OJSC and creating favorable conditions for the customers that use airport services, engaging air carriers as part of employing transit potential of the region, implementing investment projects.

“Tolmachevo Airport” OJSC is included in the Register of economic entities with over 35% share of the relevant market (“Tolmachevo” airport) for the following type of services:

- aircraft taking off and landing (over 65%);

- passenger services (over 65%);

- aircraft technical maintenance (over 65%).

Governed by Part 2 Article 33 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) extended the period for petition consideration for two months in order to obtain additional information.

Interested persons can present information to the antimonopoly body as to how the above transaction can affect the state of competition on the market of airport services.
