TATNEFT Receives Oil from 2 & More Layers through 1 Well
OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2011. The technological process of crude oil production at TATNEFT is based on application of innovative developments ensuring the efficient oil fields operation. Among them there is a system of dual completion and simultaneous production of two or more layers through one well (DCP), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
This technology is now implemented at 814 Company's producing wells with the total incremental oil production from the beginning of its application in the amount of 2.1 million tons. The average increase of oil production rate per well from the beginning of operation amounted to 3.7 tons per day.
DCP systems enable to simultaneously operate the layers with different reservoir characteristics and properties. The application of DCP installations increases profitability of individual wells through connecting it to other development targets or to the layers of the same development target, which are different in terms of productivity. The well productivity increases due to optimization of the development targets operation. Use of one wellbore and organization of simultaneous (joint) recovery of hydrocarbon reserves of various development targets with a single well spacing pattern reduces the amount of drilling. This technology allows to essentially optimize the crude oil production costs.
Today, the Company applies different designs with the basic ones being: single-lift DCP design for sucker rod pumps (SRP), dual-lift SRP-SRP design with a segregated lift of products recovered, DCP SRP-ESP design (with an electric centrifugal pump) with joint and segregated lifting of production. Dual completion production and injection is also applied.
