To realise the benefits of international transport corridors (ITCs) passing through Russia, a logistics provider network is being established to offer a through service for transporting goods across the Euro-Asian transport market.

According to the Strategy for Developing Rail Transport to 2030, Terminal and Logistics Centres (TLCs) will be built at Russia’s major transportation hubs, while the first stage of the Strategy to 2015 provides for creating a support network of 35-40 TLCs in Russia’s key regions to offer customers a new level of quality in logistics and terminal and warehouse services.

Initially, the multi-functional logistics centre Belyi Rast will be built in Greater Moscow’s Dmitrov district, but logistics centres are also planned for the Leningrad region (Shushary), Moscow (Kuntsevo and Kursk), Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and other cities.

It is also planned to set up logistics centres at junction lines with different gauges and at seaports in Russia’s Far East to facilitate Russia’s trade with Japan, South Korea and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region and to improve between Europe and Asia.
