OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2011. The US Ambassador to Moldova said Wednesday during the opening of the Doing Business with the USA workshop that the agrarian sector constitutes up to 30-40% of Moldova’s economy and the USA are ready to share their experience for Moldova’s agriculture to get onto a new development level. Particularly, Asif Chaundry told about two programs, in which Moldovan entrepreneurs can participate as early as this year – SABIT Program and Cochrah Program.

These programs intended for different sectors of economy (agriculture, IT, commerce and others) give an opportunity to Moldovan businessmen to study the American companies’ experience in doing business, to have training at the US leading enterprises, to find new partners and others. “Despite the fact that considerable changes have taken place in Moldova for the last two years influencing the economy development, we all realize that economic reforms are the key factory for the further growth”, said Asif Chaundry.

Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, in his turn, highly appreciated the American investors’ contribution to development of our country’s economy and assured that the country’s government will continue carrying out economic reforms.
