OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2011. AMT BANK LLC opened a correspondent account with the Bank of Communications, China. The account currency is the Chinese yuan. Thus, AMT BANK became one of the first banks in Russia to offer its customers settlements in the Chinese currency, reported the press-centre of AMT BANK.

- The Chinese economy is one of the most rapidly growing economies in the world, and we believe that the role of the yuan as one of the global currencies will increase in the future, - says Victoria Ermakova, Executive Director at AMT BANK. – We can see high demand for settlements in yuans from the part of our customers, and this made us take a decision to open a correspondent account with a Chinese bank.

The purpose of the correspondent account of AMT BANK with the Bank of Communications is to make settlements under export trade contracts entered into between customers of the Bank and Chinese exporters, who have the right to effect international transactions in yuans.
