During the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015) and even a longer period, the Datong Coal Mine Group will be undergoing a comprehensive transformation or a brand-new reform, i.e. to transform green awareness into practice, to transform convention into innovation and to transform "black mining" into "green mining", reported the press-centre of Datong Coal Mine Group.

During the process, the Datong Coal Mine Group will establish the concepts of green resources, green production and green work performance. It will form a new green growth mode based on the concept of circular economy, formulate a new set of green standards supported by scientific and technological innovation and develop the diversified and high-end non-coal industries.
