OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2011. The subsidiary of Ingosstrakh OJSIC in Ufa has concluded an agricultural insurance agreement with the agricultural enterprise „Agrogals”, LLC of Aurgazinsky region, the Republic of Bashkortostan. The total insurance sum under the agreement amounts to 48.5 mln. rubles.

The object of insurance covered the seeds of spring wheat and spring barley on the total area of 6 494 hectares. Under the agreement, the future harvest was insured against loss or poor harvest as a result of heavy hail, atmospheric or soil drought, ground frost, hurricane, strong dust or sand storm, overwetting of soil, fire (including as a result of a stroke of lightning), high water, mudflow, earthquake, avalanche, plant disease, destruction of plants by vermin, and also illegal actions of third parties.

The insured harvest is the subject of pledge with Bashkir regional branch of Rosselkhozbank OJSC.
