OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2011. Bank SNORAS expands its network and opens a new customer service subdivision in Kaunas airport. The companies, located not only in the airport and in Karmлlava, but also in the free economic zone, will be able to use the services of the bank, reported the press-centre of Bank SNORAS.

“Karmлlava is the Kaunas region, having a large potential, with a strong attraction centre – the international airport which is the second largest airport in the country according to the number of passengers being serviced. I am sure that Bank SNORAS subdivision for customers of the airport, which constantly increases the volumes of its services, is truly relevant and necessary – we will offer traveller-friendly currency exchange rates, large variety of currency for purchase and sale,” says Юorюas Рarafanoviиius, the director of Bank SNORAS Retail Business Division.

According to his statement, Western Union service of quick money transfers provided in Bank SNORAS should also be relevant to the airport customers. Residents of Karmлlava will be able to put a deposit here, to pay fees and perform money orders.

The new customer service unit of Bank SNORAS will work daily from 6:30 till 22:00 o'clock. In the future the work schedule may change, taking into consideration the customers' needs and flight schedules.

Presently 38 customer service subdivisions of Bank SNORAS operate in Kaunas region: the bank's branch, the branch outlet and 36 mini-banks.

This year the bank also plans to open new subdivisions in Рilutл, to renew the activity of the mini-banks, located in Palanga and Рventoji, during the summer time, to transfer Utena branch to the new building under construction.

Within the past 4 years, the number of flights and passengers in Kaunas airport was constantly growing, and during the year 2010 alone the number of passengers almost doubled, up to 810,000. Last year the number of cargoes transported in the airport grew by 110 per cent, up to 4.5 thousand; according to the number of the cargoes which were serviced the airport was the leader in Lithuania – Kaunas airport occupied 58 per cent of the air cargo market in the country.

Since March 2011 additional flights are performed in Kaunas airport to cities of Spain via the cheap flights company Ryanair.
