Schneider Electric Names NLMK Trading Company as Preferred Supplier
OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2011. Novex Trading SA (a trading company within NLMK Group) has been chosen by Schneider Electric as its preferred supplier.
Assessment of 2010 results revealed that the Company demonstrated a high level of performance in terms of product quality, logistics, cost saving, technical and process innovations, sustainable development and cooperation, meeting all the requirements set forward by Schneider Electric.
Currently only 250 of Schneider Group’s suppliers have been honoured with the “preferred supplier” title.
Flat products supplied by Novex Trading SA are produced by VIZ-Stal, an NLMK Group company, certified as a supplier of Schneider Electric following an audit in December 2010. In 2010 7,680 tonnes of grain-oriented steel was supplied to this consumer.

NLMK is one of the largest steel producers in the world. Steel output in 2010 was 11.5 million tonnes. The Company produces a wide range of steel products, including slabs and billets, hot-rolled flats, plates, cold-rolled, pre-painted and galvanized flats, electrical steel flats and other kinds of high value added steel products, as well as diversified long product mix, including rebar, wire rod and metalware. NLMK supplies its products to consumers in more than 70 countries worldwide. The number of employees working at the Group companies located in Russia, Europe and the USA was approx. 59 thousand people in 2010.
Novex Trading (Switzerland) – NLMK acquired 100% of the trading company in 2008 in line with its strategy of setting up an international trading structure, exercising better control over exports and expanding its presence in the key sales markets.

The company comprises more than 200 plants in different countries of the world, R&D centers in 25 countries.
