ICBC Named Best Bank of China for Eighth Time
OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2011. Earlier, the Global Finance (US) magazine has named the "Best Emerging Market Banks 2011 in Asia. ICBC soared above the competition and took the "Best Bank in China" Award for the eighth year winning. Meanwhile, ICBC Macau, the ICBC branch in Macau, also has been named as "Best Bank in Macau" in this competition, reported the press-centre of ICBC.
As related, the Global Finance's criteria for choosing the best emerging bank in the region included financial result, market position, customer service, product innovation and key strategic progress. The "Best Bank in China" award to ICBC, once again from the Global Finance, is a further confirmation of the stellar market performance of ICBC in 2010 from industry veterans and international media. The Global Finance said, "ICBC commands leading marketing shares in loan business. Bad loan continues to decline for consecutive years. ICBC is a well-capitalized bank". The Global Finance added, "On the international front the Bank moves aggressively, eyeing on strategic investments in and outside Asia to strengthen its global footprint."

All selections were made by a panel of judges with members from Global Finance editors, analysts and banking consultants.
