OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2011. Kazakhmys Group implemented the first phase of waste disposal systems modernization on two Zhezkazgan processing plants. The cost amount made up over KZT50 mln. The equipment modernization on plants is the part of the comprehensive program of the company aimed at improvement of the ecology. The program total cost for 2011 is about KZT2 bn., reported the press-centre of KASE.

The systems have been assembled in the special equipment on air cleaning on job places. At present, 57 out of 78 working waste disposal systems are equipped with reliable systems of dust control based on the modern technologies of purification. After modernization of the equipment the efficiency of air cleaning from dust increased from 75% to 99.5%.

"Introduction of improved aspiration systems on processing plants of the company is the serious technological step towards working conditions of staff and solution of ecology problems. One of our permanent objectives is the balance between receiving of the economic profit and minimizing of the anthropogenic impact on the environment", - said Kazakhmys Corporation Management Board Chairman Eduard Ogai.
