OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2011. In the area of the central processor of a passenger gallery of the terminal "D" 25 % of construction metal roof are completed. It is also continuing works on arrangement of the glass facade fences; implementing internal finishing works; construction of wall frames plasterboard and performing installation of internal engineering networks.

On the construction of the terminal "D" of the International Airport “Boryspil” has already completed the installation of roof and installation of the glass facade fences in the southern and northern passenger gallery.

By the state for May 4, 2011 on the construction of terminal "D" of “Boryspil” completed about 50% of construction works. In the new terminal complex the installation of escalators and elevators are carry out, installation of baggage handling systems and installation of metal structures of passenger boarding ladders are also carry out.

The terminal complex "D" of the  International airport "Boryspil ", which will have an area of 110 thousand square meters, after completion will be the largest in the port. The new terminal will specialize exclusively on international flights. It will increase the competitiveness of the main air gate of the country and expand its capabilities in the international air services.

The design capacity of the terminal "D" will reach 9 million passengers per year (3 000 passengers per hour in flight and the same number of arrival).
