OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2011. Bakcell company is going  to launch rendering 3G services in September.

Chief Commercial Director of the company Krasimir Genov has reported that the net will be ready for operation by the end of summer.

" We have submitted all the necessary documents for receiving the license on rendering 3G services to Azerbaijan Communications and Information Technologies Ministry. We are ready to provide third generation services from financial, technical and marketing point of view ",- Genov noted.

In his words at present the company’s net is operating on  2,75G technology which enables provision of high-quality Internet and voice communication services. The main problem of Bakcell  and Azercell mobile operators in the process of license acquisition is the issue of corresponding radio frequencies necessary to provide these services. At present Azerfon is the country’s only mobile operator rendering 3G services.
