OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2011. Students of NRNU MEPhI visited VNIINM OJSC within the framework of the participation in the project of All-Russian school-seminar of students, postgraduates and young scientists on the topic branch of nanotechnological national web’s activity “Functional Nanomaterials for Power Industry”.

The questions of receipt, research, diagnostics and application of functional nanomaterials in order to use them in the field of power industry were discussed by the participants within the framework of the school-seminar.

Leading Russian scientists conducted master-classes in the field of constructional nanomaterials. The school-seminar practical trainings, aimed at development of practical skills of nanomaterials exploration, are carried out using unique diagnostic systems of nuclear industry enterprises, where VNIINM OJSC takes one of the leading places. Education and methods materials, presentations and video materials on the problems of receipt, research and application of function nanomaterials for nuclear and thermal powers were proposed to the school-seminar participants. Besides, the students were able to ask essential questions to the Institute leading scientists and specialists.

During the young scientists’ visit to VNIINM OJSC they saw operating laboratory units on nanomaterials and superconductive materials as well as the new equipment and the rooms that had been completed due to Federal Purposive Program on Nanotechnologies. 
The school-seminar works digest is planned to be published according to its results. The best works will be recommended for publication as articles in the magazines included in the list of the Russian Federation HAC.
