Vnukovo International Airport is UTair’s main base of operations and its largest hub in Moscow with more than 120 UTair flights every day to more than 60 destinations in Russia and abroad. Thanks to UTair's hub at Vnukovo the carrier's customers can make daily flights between cities that have no direct connections. In 2010, more than one fourth of UTair’s 3.2 million passengers were transfer passengers.
The move to terminal the new terminal A at Vnukovo Airport will ensure a higher level of passenger service and provide new possibilities to develop the airline’s network.
The new terminal A at Vnukovo Airport has been in operation since 2010 and UTair Aviation was the first airline to make flights from this terminal.
Construction of the terminal A, with an area of 250,000 square meters, was launched in February 2006 as part of the Vnukovo Airport development and modernization program. The area of the first terminal complex is 174,000 square meters and it has a capacity of 7 million passengers per year. The new terminal will increase Vnukovo’s overall capacity to 18-20 million passengers per year by 2015.
