According to the Cabinet’s decision, the biggest volume of wheat – about 1,000 tones – was allotted to the Cahul region. About 500 tones of wheat will be received by the Cantemir region, 400 tones – Ungheni region, 200 tones – Floresti and Soldanensti regions each.

It is stipulated that the grain received from the state reserve will be returned by them by September 1, 2011.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasilii Bumacov said at the meeting that this measure would allow keeping prices for bread in the home market stable. At the same time, the wheat reserve needs to be renewed periodically.
