SORAINEN Nominated for International Tax Review European Tax Awards
OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2011. For the second year in a row the SORAINEN regional Tax & Customs Team is nominated for the "Baltic States Tax Firm of the Year" and "Baltic States Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year" awards at the prestigious International Tax Review European Tax Awards. In 2010, SORAINEN won the "Baltic States Tax Firm of the Year" award: the first tax firm in the Baltics to receive the award, reported the press-centre of SORAINEN.
On 18 May 2011, International Tax Review will present its seventh annual European Tax Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The awards will go to firms that demonstrated examples of the most innovative client work in Europe between March and December 2010. Awards will be presented to firms in 26 jurisdictions or regions.
"It always seems harder to keep the award for two years in a row than to win it for the first time, so again being short listed among the TOP 5 finalists in both categories is already a victory," comments Janis Taukacs, regional head of the SORAINEN Tax & Customs Team.
Among other nominees in the "Baltic States Tax Firm of the Year" award category are three of the Big4 audit firms and another law firm.
To decide the winners, International Tax Review's team of journalists will undertake detailed research from a variety of sources. The awards will be judged according to three main criteria – size, innovation and complexity, also taking into account the general capability of a firm's tax team.
Since 1990, International Tax Review has established itself globally as the most authoritative and lively magazine dedicated to international tax strategy. International Tax Review forms part of the Euromoney Legal Media Group, with offices in London, Hong Kong and New York.
