OTP Bank Connects Payment Terminals to CyberPlat
OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2011. OTP Bank, one of the top-50 banks in Russia, and the largest by the size of its payment acceptance network Russian payment system CyberPlat® have signed an agreement under which payment terminals of the Moscow Region, as well as the Internet-Banking system will be connected to CyberPlat® payment system.
The testing of the Internet-Banking system enabling payments through CyberPlat® is drawing to its end and in the nearest future the system will be available for the customers of OTP Bank.
OTP Bank occupies 15th place among retail banks, 2nd place in the POS-loans market, 3d place in the market for unsecured lending, and 4th place in the segment of credit cards. All in all, OTP Bank is present in more than 2,700 localities in Russia. Over 1.5 million customers continuously enjoy the Bank’s services.
After implementation of the agreement, the customers of OTP Bank will be able to make payments in favour of all major mobile and fixed-line communications companies, cable TV companies, wired and mobile Internet providers, alarm systems, utility and power supply companies of virtually all major regions of the Russian Federation. Currently, more than 1,500 service providers are registered in the system CyberPlat®.
CyberPlat® system also enables to pay for taxes and dues, fines issued by traffic police, air and train tickets, as well as replenish bank accounts with any Russian banks, personal retirement accounts, repay loans and send money transfers including cross-border money transfers.
It should be noted that Omsk branch of OTP Bank has been connected to CyberPlat® payment acceptance system for several years, which allows its customers to instantly and comfortably make payments in favour of a wide range of service providers. The new agreement expands the geography of cooperation of OTP Bank and CyberPlat® payment system at the expense of one of the most important for OTP Bank regions — the Moscow region.
