OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2011. The number of operations with real estate (purchase-sale, inheritance, gift, exchange) in January-March 2011 grew 21% in comparison with the same period of 2010, to 70,639. These data were released by the public enterprise Cadastru. In the first quarter of the last year, such operations numbered 58,421.

The number of the real estate purchase-sale transactions increased in the reporting period by 18.5 percent from 23,385 (in the first quarter of 2010) to 27,726 operations (in the first quarter of 2011). The number of mortgage construction transactions in the first three months of this year totaled 4,658, up 16.2 percent against the same period last year, when 4,007 such transactions were reported.

According to Cadastru, the Chisinau municipality traditionally accounts for over 30% of the total number of mortgage construction transactions throughout Moldova this month. Experts point out the recovery of the real estate market after stagnation caused by the economic crisis.
