KAMAZ Creates Backlog
OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. As a result of the first four months of the year, KAMAZ overfulfilled both the current production plan for all kinds of major products and the business plan for 2011 corrected by the Board of Directors of the company to increase production volumes.
In April, the automobile plant, the finishing plant for truck production, produced 4,040 vehicle sets. For four months of 2011, KAMAZ delivered its immediate customers, partners for special machinery production, assembly plants and repair units about 14,000 finished vehicles, chassis, assembly and repair kits, which is by 45% more than for the same period of 2010. It is already more than a third of their annual production plan. KAMAZ began creating a backlog for August when most of its employees will again be on paid corporate leave like it was last year. Trucks and chassis are ahead of schedule delivered to the Russian market, where a segment of special machinery for construction industries is becoming more active, and for export, according to the schedule.
Last month, KAMAZ-Diesel and Cummins KAMA produced and delivered to the automobile plant and their customers more than 4.5 thousand engines and power units in April and more than 15,000 units for four months. The latter performance is 33% more than in 2010.
Spare parts for KAMAZ vehicles and diversification products are also manufactured and shipped ahead of schedule of the updated business plan and the current production plans – both according to the results of last month, and totally since the beginning of the year.
