Commodity Turnover of Moldova, Belarus May Reach USD 500 mn
OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. It was said by the Belarus Ambassador to Moldova Veaceslav Osipenco, speaking Thursday at the ceremony of launch of the first 20 trolleybuses out of 102 trolleybuses purchased by the City Hall from Belcommunmas.
The Belarus diplomat emphasized that the main volume of the commodity turnover between Belarus and Moldova traditionally accounts for enterprises of Minsk and Chisinau. The diplomat said the Minsk enterprise Belcommunmas said it is ready to carry out a complex analysis of Chisinau’s transport infrastructure to help develop the transport chapter of the city’s general plan meeting today’s realities and to supply new transport.
The agreement to work out the possibility of the joint assembling of Belarus trolleybuses in Chisinau was also reached and the Belarus party is ready to start realization of this project. According to Veaceslav Osipenco, the Moldovan capital would be able not only to provide itself with trolleybuses in 2-3 years, but also to export modern electric transport, if it wishes so. The Ambassador said there are good examples of joint work between Minsk and Chisinau.
The largest commodity distribution networks structures were established with participation of the Belarus capital: the MTZ-Leader Trade House, Keramin trading company, Santa-Briz, Vestoil, Agrobelmilk. In 2010, the commodity turnover between Belarus and Moldova totaled \\\\$249.2 million (98% of the 2009 level). The reduction in commodity turnover is due to the 12.9% decrease in oil product supplies from Belarus.
