OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. The Government at his session formed the External economic council under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Council appointed the First vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Deputy Chairman – the Minister of Foreign Affairs and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

The External economic council is a standing advisory body established to promote coordination of international economic cooperation.

An adoption of the document will allow to establish a structured dialogue between government, business and civil society in accordance with European practice; to develop a holistic and balanced external economic policy aimed at increasing competitiveness and investment attractiveness of Ukraine's economy.

In addition, it will improve trade conditions in foreign markets for domestic producers and increase exports, improve its geographic and commodity diversification, including through the products with high added value.
