Moldova Will Attract Romanian Investments
OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2011. It was said by the Acting President of Moldova, Parliament Chairman Marian Lupu after the meeting in Bucharest with Romanian President Traian Basescu. Marian Lupu said there are opportunities and unused reserves for increasing the inflow of Romanian investment in Moldova. He emphasized that Romania is Moldova’s strategic partner, ranking the second in terms of Moldovan exports and the third in terms of Moldovan imports.
He thanked the Romanian President for his initiative despite the difficulties faced by his country to provide a gratuitous financial aid in the amount of 100 million euros to Moldova, which is very valuable for the republic, and the respective assistance program is already being implemented. Marian Lupu came out in favor of extending the strategic partnership of Moldova and Romania, deepening the bilateral cooperation in different areas.
He also thanked Traian Basescu for the support provided by Romania to Moldova in its European integration process and at the negotiations with the EU over the draft agreement on association, the dialogue over the visa order liberalization and the forthcoming negotiations over the agreement on the deepened and comprehensive free trade.
