OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2011. The volume of credits to small business entities of Uzbekistan made up 866 billion soums on results of the first quarter of 2011, which is 1.4 times more than in the same period of 2010. The volume of microcredits rose 1.4 times as well to reach 159.8 billion soums.

These dynamics have been achieved as a result of large-scale measures taken in Uzbekistan on implementation of the tasks of the "Year of Small Business and Private Entrepreneurship" State Program.

The volume of crediting small businesses also expanded due to foreign credit lines. Thus, funds of credit lines of international financial institutions worth USD 25.3 million were utilized in January-March 2011. More than 46,000 new workplaces were created thanks to these credits.
