OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. The cost of equipment for the transport network in the Pskov region is 15.5 million rubles. Company “VimpelCom” has won the competition for contracts on joint using of the optical fibers, owned by JSC "IDGC North-West”. The results of the competitions were summarized on March 30, 2011. Company MTS also took part in the competitions.

This is the first such project for the IDGC and the first step towards the introduction of smart grids that will give the possibility to consolidate the power facilities in a single automated network. The project is designed up to 2014 and the first phase will begin in "Pskovenergo”.
