OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. Yesterday, during a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, OJSC KAMAZ was visited by a delegation from Moscow headed by Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Igor Shchegolev.

The federal minister arrived at KAMAZ not by accident. For many years, KAMAZ has been using IT innovations to design new models of trucks which will soon replace vehicles currently assembled there.

State-of-the-art capabilities of 3D-design of vehicles were shown Igor Shchegolev in the Research and Development Center of KAMAZ. Together with the guests from Moscow, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Information and Communication of the RT Nikolay Nikiforov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaykhraziev saw the KAMAZ designers’ presentation.

But the high-ranking official arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny not only to see recent achievements of KAMAZ. This year, construction of an IT-park will start in the city. It will be the whole complex of production facilities of 30 thousand square meters, with modern infrastructure to accommodate small and medium enterprises of the IT-industry developing software and rendering services in the sphere of information and communication technologies. It is planned to place the park in the buildings of the former Computer Center of OJSC KAMAZ on the area of 6 hectares. It is planned to create about 1,600 jobs and accommodate 53 companies for 3 years. The industrial park in Naberezhnye Chelny should become the second largest incubator after Kazan for talented and forward-minded people of Tatarstan.
