OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Anatoly Brovko, Head of the Volgograd Oblast Administration.

Alexey Miller and Anatoly Brovko discussed gasification of the Volgograd Oblast. The meeting participants highlighted that Gazprom would consider an opportunity for constructing three inter-settlement gas pipelines in the Alexeyevsky, Yelansky and Dubovsky Districts and a gas lateral in Chernyshkovsky District as well as reconstructing the Pokruchenskaya gas distribution station in the Kumylzhensky District. The decision on the mentioned projects implementation will be taken once the Oblast meets all of its obligations.
Background

The Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Volgograd Oblast Administration was signed in September 2002, the Accord on Gasification – in December 2010.

Between 2005 and 2010 Gazprom invested over RUB 2.4 billion in the Volgograd Oblast gasification, thus increasing the average gas penetration level in the Oblast to 81.4 per cent (4.9 per cent growth) while the identical figure throughout Russia makes up 63.1 per cent.
