OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov charged the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food, the head Ministerial Council of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, heads of regional administrations to take all necessary measures to implement the Government's task properly complete the spring field work, particularly to provide balance of grain, industrial and cereal crops .

“The Ministry, the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regional state administrations have to keep control of a spring field work and supply of agricultural producers of quality seeds, fuel, fertilizer” said the Prime Minister, adding even though in 2011 the Government created conditions for the accumulation by agricultural producers of seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products and petroleum products however the algorithm providing fertilizers and especially fuel at preferential prices has its drawbacks.

The Prime Minister said that today in Ukraine early sowing of spring crops is completed and on the state on 26 April it was sown 3.5 million hectares, representing 95 percent of the total area. It is seeded sugar beet on 87% planed areas. It is continued feeding of winter grain, which was conducted on 6.3 million hectares or 97% of the area.

According to Mykola Azarov the sowing campaign of cereal crops, corn, vegetables and more ahead. “A few months - and harvesting begins. Therefore, the Ministry must quickly manoeuvre resources so as to the assistance provided by the government reached each manufacturer” – the Prime Minister stressed.

In addition, as Mykola Azarov noted, competent completion of the spring field work, the optimal structure of crop areas, achieving a significant increase in agricultural production would ensure price stability in the market of foodstuffs.
