Tata Power Conferred BML Munjal Award

The acclaimed BML Munjal Awards honour the industry’s finest organisations which have made significant contribution in the area of human capital development. The Annual BML Munjal Awards for Excellence in Learning and Development were conceived five years ago to address the “people gap”, and have now been established as an industry benchmark. The award tracks organisations which have made investments in people; recognise them as a precious resource and have consistently used training, learning and development as a source of competitive advantage and as a business strategy.
Anil Sardana, managing director, Tata Power, said, "We are glad to receive this prestigious award and it is our endeavour to have best-in-class learning and development practices. This award will further motivate us, in our efforts towards being a world-class organisation."
The awards recognise organisations in both the public as well as the private sector. Previous winners include Tata Steel in the private sector.
The jury for this year comprised prominent industry stalwarts such as Ajay Shriram, DCM Shriram Consolidated; Anand C Burman, Dabur; Arun Maira, Planning Commission; Naina Lal Kidwai, HSBC; RS Sharma, ONGC; Rajive Kaul, Nicco; Sanjiv Goenka, RPG Group; Sunil Kant Munjal, Hero Corporate Service, and Vinayshil Gautam, IIT Delhi.
