OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2011. China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited (CNOOC Ltd., CEO.NYSE; 0883.HK), China's largest offshore oil and gas producer, brought three LNG receiving terminals into operation in 2010, with a total capacity of 9.4 million metric tons (tonnes), according to a report by caijing.com.cn.

The three LNG terminals are respectively in Dapeng of south Chin a Guangdong province, south China Fujian province and east China Shanghai city.

CNOOC will have 9 LNG receiving terminals in total with a combined receiving capacity of 48.4 million tonnes after new projects are completed, Caijing quoted an official of CNOOC Gas & Power Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of CNOOC, as saying.

The new projects include a 10 million-tonne LNG terminal in Zhuh ai of south China Guangdong province, a 6 million-tonne terminal in Ningbo of south China Zhejiang province, a 4 million-tonne terminal in south China Shenzhen city, a 3 million-tonne terminal in China's southernmost Hainan province, a 4 million-tonne terminal in east Guangdong province and a 2 million-tonne terminal in west Guangdong province.
