Goh Chok Tong Inspect Jobsite of CFMCC Group in Tianjin
OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2011. Singapore's Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong paid an inspection visit to the jobsite of the Public Housing Project in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City. The Senior Minister was accompanied by He Lifeng, Vice Secretary of CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee & Secretary of CPC Tianjin Binhai New Area Committee. The project was contracted by Huabei Branch of China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group), reported the press-centre of MCC.
Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city is a strategic cooperation project between China and Singapore. Located in Tianjin Binhai New Area and covering a land area of 30 square kilometers, the Eco-city is to be established into a modern city for living, working and leisure activities of 350,000 citizens. After the completion of the startup area (covering an area of 4 square kilometers), 26,500 families will settle down in the Eco-city, and the first batch of residents will moved in around the year of 2012.
The Public Housing Project in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City was contracted by Huabei Branch of CFMCC Group. The top sealing works was completed in the end of 2010, and the external decoration works is being undertaken at present. As of April 17, 2011, all the works in relation with the structure had been finished; about 30,000 square meters of plasterer works has been done. With regard to the heat preservation treatment of the external wall, about 25,000 square meters had been finished. The installation works related to the windows, toilette and air conduit had been finished. In addition, the installation works for the fire-proof doorframe has been commenced.
