OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2011. The National Moldovan Wine Promoting Council will organize promotion actions in France, China, Czech Republic and Poland in the next two months. Particularly, Moldovan winemakers are planned to participate in the international exhibition Vinexpo in Bordeaux (France) in June 19-23, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova.

Also in June, Moldovan wineries are planned to participate in the wine exhibition in China, to establish important relations with Chinese importers to develop the Moldovan wine distribution network in China. Special attention will be paid to the correct and stable positioning of Moldovan wines in China. In addition, it is planned to organize Moldovan wine promoting events in Czech Republic and Poland to extend the wine distribution network, to inform local consumers of Moldovan wines, to promote Moldova culture, wine and national traditions by means of mass media. It should be noted that the National Moldovan Wine Promoting Council has carried out a number of Moldovan wines promoting events in German and Romania for the last two months. Particularly, eight Moldovan winemaking enterprises participated with success in the international show ProWein in Dusseldorf on March 27-29.

They presented their production as a single stand, the fact that improved Moldova’s image as a winemaking country. They established contacts with new partners and extended cooperation with the previous ones. Moldovan wines were also presented during the participation of the Small Wine Producers Association in the Wine Exhibition Good Wine in Bucharest on March 11-13. Small producers’ wines had a special success at this event oriented on purchase of wines for hotels, restaurants and cafes (HORECA) and specialized shops.

The National Wines Promoting Council also organized wine sampling in the Hamburg Wine Lovers Club. The National Wines Promoting Council was established few months ago basing on the Moldovan Wines Promoting Plan Memorandum for 2011. The Memorandum sets the principles of joint actions of the authorities and wine associations to promote wines to foreign markets. The Moldovan Export and Investment Promoting Organization (MIEPO), CBI projects (the Center for promoting import from developing countries) and the CEED II/USAID (Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development II) stated their support to the Moldovan wines export promoting efforts.
