OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2011. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Igor Makarov, Chairman of the Itera International Group of Companies that actively collaborated on the implementation of important national projects in Turkmenistan.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the President of the Russian holding congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the Turkmen Horse Day widely and solemnly celebrated these days in Turkmenistan. The businessmen emphasized that his company was sincerely proud of long-term fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan, which implemented consistently the programmes of reforms under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in all key spheres and had been rightfully recognized as one of dynamically developing countries of the world and earned the high international prestige.

Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed that Turkmenistan stood ready to intensify cooperation with the companies with the tremendous production potential, including Itera that had gained the reputation as being a dependable partner of our country.

A substantive exchange of views on the prospects for mutually advantageous cooperation as consistent with the development priorities of Turkmenistan took place during the meeting. The President of Itera Company reported on the progress in implementing the joint projects and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions. The guest reported that the two equestrian complexes Balkan and Lebap Velayats were ready to be put into operation. Igor Makarov noted that these facilities meeting international standards had been built in compliance with the recommendations and comments of the Turkmen partners

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov evaluated highly the Itera’s contribution to implementing the urban development programmes launched throughout the country and thanked for the large-scale work done by the company.

Upon concluding the meeting, expressing profound gratitude to the leader of the Turkmen state for giving credence to the company, the Russian businessman assured that Itera would spare no effort to implement the bilateral agreements and reaffirmed that the holding of companies stood ready to collaborate actively on new large-scale projects in various fields.
