OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. Power Machines and Bashkir Generating Company, LLC have signed a contract to supply power equipment as part of the project to upgrade the К-300-240 turbine at Karmanovskaya SDPP unit No. 6.

Under the contract, Power Machines is to produce and deliver a high-pressure internal cylinder with reactive blading and a set of equipment for upgrading the flow path of a low-pressure cylinder to the plant , and is also to overhaul a low-pressure rotor at its own production facilities. 

The deliveries are scheduled to be completed by June 2012. The upgraded facility is expected to be put into operation in Q4 2012. Implementation of this project enables to increase  the power unit’s capacity by 10.7 MW .

Earlier, in 2009, Power Machines successfully upgraded an intermediate-pressure cylinder of unit No. 6 turbine at Karmanovskaya SDPP.
