Gazprom Looks at Potential Construction of Inter-Settlement Pipelines
OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Alexey Gordeev, Governor of the Voronezh Oblast.
The meeting centered on the Oblast gasification issues. It was noted that owing to joint efforts by Gazprom and the Voronezh Oblast Administration the regional gasification level had grown by 12.7 per cent to 76.6 per cent versus 2005, with national average of 63.2 per cent.
At present, Gazprom is looking at potential construction of 22 inter-settlement gas pipelines with the total length of 500 kilometers in the Voronezh Oblast.
Background
The Agreement of Cooperation was signed between Gazprom and the Voronezh Oblast Administration in October 2003; the Gasification Accord – in February 2002.
Between 2005 and 2010 Gazprom invested RUB 3.2 billion in gasification of the Voronezh Oblast.
In 2011 the Company is going to allocate RUB 700 million for construction of eight inter-settlement gas pipelines in the region.
