OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. Ryanair, today (21st Apr) announced the cancelation of 72 flights to/from Trapani Airport (from 6-11May inclusive) due to the ongoing Air Force restrictions on civil aviation at the airport. Ryanair is no longer willing to inconvenience its passengers by diverting these flights to/from Palermo Airport and must cancel these non-based flights on a rolling basis until Trapani Airport is fully reopened to Ryanair flights.

Ryanair apologises to passengers for these unavoidable cancelations and has contacted affected passengers via email and SMS to provide them with a refund or a switch to an alternate flight. A list of cancelled flights is available on www.ryanair.com.

“Ryanair apologises to passengers for any inconvenience caused by the Italian Air Force’s ongoing restriction on civil aviation at Trapani Airport.  Passengers who are subject to cancelations have been contacted by email and SMS and are entitled to a refund or a switch to an alternate flight.
Ryanair has contacted the management of Trapani Airport to express its concern over the on-going restrictions at the airport and hopes to return to full service at Trapani as soon as possible.”
