Unistream Increases Volume of Money Transfers in Moldova by 24,1%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. The Unistream money transfer system processed 500 thousand transfers in the total amount of over USD 300 million or 24.1% of the total volume of money transfers in the republic in 2010. It was said by the spokesman of the Unistream company in Moldova Vadim Brinzeanu at the conference “Money transfers Unistream: 10 years opening new opportunities”.
According to him, Unistream is one of the biggest money transfers systems in the world, while in the CIS it constitutes about 25% of the market. According to the company’s data, the most part of the incoming and outgoing transfers in the Unistream system are made from/to Russia, while the Unistream’s “Russia-Moldova” destination accounts for 34% of all transfers. The Unistream money transfers system provides services in 1,500 points throughout Moldova.
The company cooperates with 15 Moldovan banks, 5 banks of the Transnistrian region and Posta Moldovei state enterprise. The Unistream Director for Sales Development in CIS countries Asad Hasanov presented the new opportunities provided by the system to its partners in the CIS. Particularly, he said it is necessary to promote among population the unaddressed transfers and presented the company’s new product – the universal client card enabling to reduce the money transfer procedure to the minimum – by introducing personal data of a client-sender and five recipients of the transfers into a single database of the Unistream.
He informed that for three months since the moment of introduction of the universal card in the Unistream system, about 500 thousand people in the CIS territory have got it.
