OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2011. Enterprises subordinate to the Forestry Ministry of Belarus increased exports 50% on the year in January-arch 2011 to USD 34 million, the ministry said in a statement.

Import of woodworking equipment, saws and spare parts, harvesters, etc. reached USD 3 million.

Exports reached 537,700 cubic meters of wood and 33,000 cubic meters of sawn timber.

Countries outside the CIS account for 98.8% of all exports. The largest buyers are Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden Belgium, and the Netherlands.
