OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2011. Earlier, ICBC won the "Visa 2010 Platinum Card Excellence Award" and the "Visa 2010 Best Acquiring Service Management Award" from Visa Global Network Corporation. As related, winners of Visa annual awards are selected by a panel of judges on the card product, acquiring service, card issuance, marketing and promotion, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

ICBC Peony Visa Platinum Credit Card is the first EMV dual-currency platinum chip card in China, specially designed for high-end customers. The cards which have been well-received by the high-end customers is a flagship product in China's high-end credit card market. Since its launch on April 18, 2008, ICBC has issued 82,000 peony visa platinum credit cards in total. ICBC won the "Visa 2010 Platinum Card Excellence Award" is a result of the wide applause received from the customers and market on the peony visa platinum credit card.

In 2010, ICBC extended the acquiring service leveraging its cutting-edge IT, best services and good risk control. While gathering speed on growth of total card acquiring volume, ICBC focused on the system functions enhancement and the risk control in foreign card acquiring based on its risk characteristics. Winning the "Visa 2010 Best Acquiring Service Management Award" is the confirmation of ICBC's excellence performance in this field among many other member banks.

The two Awards is the recognition of ICBC excellence in credit card business. In 2011, ICBC will further improve the system functions and customer service in a bid to push the fast and healthy growth of ICBC credit card business, said an executive with ICBC.
