CFMCC Engaged to Make China Largest Oxygen Tank in Qinghai
OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2011. The CFMCC Steel Structure Branch signed a contract on April 8, 2011 with an Employer from Qinghai Province to build a 2000m3 oxygen spherical tank. It was reported that this oxygen spherical tank had the largest volume in China currently, reported the press-centre of MCC.
Since the oxygen spherical tank was high in pressure, the domestically constructed tanks before 2003 were mostly of 200m?, 400m? - 650 m? in volume. In 2003, CFMCC recommended reconstructing two 400m? oxygen spherical tanks into one 1000m? tank for the benefit of the Employer from Xinyang. Through scientific verification, the said Employer finally accepted the recommendations and changed investment plan, which saved him of investment cost of RMB 200000. It was the first 1000m? oxygen spherical tank in China at that time.
From then on, the production and installation technology of 1000m? oxygen spherical tank became mature. By the end of 2010, many modifications in terms of material and welding processes, etc, are made in the newly implemented provisions, which provided not only rules for the development of large scale oxygen spherical tank but also positive external conditions for the successful signature of this contract.
