OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2011. It is stipulated by the new version of the Regulation on supply and use of electric power, approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency, which became effective after being published in the Monitorul Oficial.

To eliminate cases of long planned electric power cuts in the winter period, the Agency ordered that in December, January and February the length of such interruptions cannot exceed 4 hours a day. Networks operators and electric power suppliers have been obliged to provide a 24-hour access of final consumers to their telephone services, pointing out telephone numbers in the bills.

 The document also stipulates ways of overcoming difficulties faced by domestic consumers, who demanded from services suppliers compensation of losses occurred because of breakage of electrical appliances as a result of overvoltage or voltage depression.
