OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2011. Freight One has delivered the first batch of synthetic rubber made by Nizhnekamskneftekhim in the Republic of Tatarstan to the Batevo border crossing in Ukraine and the Brest border crossing in Belarus for subsequent dispatch to companies in Hungary and Poland.

Freight One has been working with Nizhnekamskneftekhim for a long time, with rubber being hauled in boxcars mainly to the ports of St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk. With the opening of the new routes, the proportion of the rubber being hauled in Freight One cars has increased from 20% to 40%. In the first quarter, Freight One hauled more than 45,000 metric tons of Nizhnekamsk rubber.

The rubber is used to make car tires, rubber goods for the food and medical industries, rubber footwear, sporting goods, adhesives and water-repellent compounds.
