President of Kazakhstan Abolishes ARA RFCA & FSA

By decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Activities of the Regional Financial Centre of Almaty city and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations are abolished with their responsibilities and powers to be transferred to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reported the press-centre of KASE.

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On Further Improvement of the System of Government Control of the Financial
Market in the Republic of Kazakhstan
In accordance with sub-item 5) of article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic
of Kazakhstan, I hereby RESOLVE:
1. To abolish the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Activities of the Regional Financial Centre of Almaty city and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations (hereinafter - the agencies) with their responsibilities and powers to be transferred to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. To appoint the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan a successor with regard to liabilities of the agencies being abolished.
3. That the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan make arrangements for the implementation of this Decree.
4. To assign the control over the implementation of this Decree to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. This Decree is effective from the day of its signing.
