OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2011. Funds proceed from the sale of grain export quotas at auctions will be directed to support grain production. Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said this during his working trip to Zhytomyr.

The Minister assured that the Government does not intend to continue restrictions on grain exports, including its quota, after July 1, 2011.

The law on the sale of grain quotas was adopted. It operates until 1 July this year. In addition, the government allocated additional quota for sale at auction of 2 million tons of corn. At the same time, funds from the sale of grain at the auctions will be directed towards supporting grain production", - said Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food.

March 30 The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision to extend the grain export quotas until July 1 of this year.
