BAIP to Improve Technologies for Curing Diseases
OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2011. Vilnius University (VU) and information technology (IT) company BAIP will contribute to the development of state‘s pharmacology and medicine innovations. VU and BAIP have signed a collaboration agreement with Innovative Pharmacology Industry Association (IFPA) at European Grid Infrastructure User Forum which took place on April 11-14 at „Radison Blue Hotel Lietuva“ conference centre.
According to the agreement, Digital Science and Computing Centre of Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of VU, BAIP and IFPA will collaborate in the fields of innovative pharmacology, medical research and technological development.
The parties have agreed to strengthen connections and join forces in looking for new disease curing technologies and seeking for a more effective employment of IT infrastructure in Lithuanian Health Care system. It will be achieved by implementing corporate R&D projects, preparing applications and sharing experience.
It is hoped that the collaboration between VU, BAIP and IFPA will expand research connections among state and foreign business and industry, increase the involvement of Digital processes into the state‘s economy. The tripartite agreement was signed by VU vice dean on studies issues, professor habilitated doctor Juras Banys, IFTA director Leonas Kaletinas and BAIP CEO Kazimieras Tonkunas.
