KAMAZ Meets Environmental Standards
OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. The leader of the Russian truck industry has successfully passed an inspection audit of its integrated management system of labour protection, industrial safety and environmental management.
The integrated management system of OJSC KAMAZ was audited by "Russian Register" Certification Association. The main purpose was to check compliance of the management system with requirements, to establish the fact that the management system is in force, to evaluate performance. The auditors from “Russian Register” had to establish the fact that the regulations of continuous improvement are being implemented, to assess and evaluate the changes now in the documentation.
According to "Russian Register" Certification Association, the company supports implementation and development of its management systems which are efficient and compliant with the international requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
The integrated management system of labour protection, industrial safety and environmental management introduced at KAMAZ is aimed at constant improvement of the company’s activity to reduce occupational and environmental hazards. Compliance with international standards enables to expand a product market, as it serves as a guarantor of industrial and ecological safety attracting foreign investors.
