OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. Based on March 2011 results the volume of flour shipped by PAVA to its foreign partners exceeded the volumes shipped by other grain processors based in Altay region.
Major export volume was shipped to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. In total PAVA shipped over 3000 tons of flour to its foreign partners in March.
Due to modernization works at Mikhailovsky milling plant PAVA shipped its products abroad mostly from its milling plant in Rebrikha, Altay region. Production activities at Mikhailovsky milling plant have resumed in April, which will definitely lead to total increase in shipped volumes of PAVA’s products.
Being one of the Russia’s largest grain processors PAVA announced its intention to resume export shipments immediately after Russian authorities lifted the embargo for grain and grain processed products. The company continued negotiations with potential partners during the ban. “We were afraid to lose our positions on the market as grain processors from Kazakhstan were quick to take our place. Nonetheless we see our long-awaited return to foreign markets as successful. Still, a lot is has to be done”, says PAVA’s commercial director Angela Kiseleva.
