OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701), NEC LCD Technologies, Ltd. (NEC LCD Technologies) and Shenzhen AVIC Optoelectronic Co., Ltd. announced today that "NLT Technologies, Ltd." will be the name of the joint venture company to be registered in July 2011.

As announced on February 25, 2011, NEC LCD Technologies will become a joint venture company between NEC and Shenzhen AVIC Optoelectronic Co., Ltd. in July 2011.

Along with becoming a joint venture company, NEC LCD Technologies will be renamed as "NLT Technologies, Ltd." It will continue to be a Japan based liquid crystal enterprise that focuses on the small and midsized industrial use liquid crystal panel business.
