OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. Trade turnover between China and Ukraine in 2012 has to reach USD 10 billion. Such a task announced Head of the People's Republic Hu Jintao during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, who is on an official visit to China.

According to the Chinese side, currently trade turnover between China and Ukraine is 7,7 billion dollars.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine pays special attention to developing partnerships with the People's Republic of China. According to the Government of Ukraine, currently the top priority is cooperation in space, aircraft industries, military-technical sector, as well as in sphere of information technology.

The partners also noted the significant growth in trade between the countries during 2010, when growth was 36 percent.

Currently, Ukraine and China are preparing to sign an agreement on strategic partnership, including the implementation of large projects.

During the meeting The President Hu Jintao reiterated the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov his willingness to visit Ukraine.
