OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. An agreement on the creation of a PwC Chair at the university was signed during a ceremony at a Russian Government Finance University Education Committee meeting, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The PwC Chair will specialise in educational programmes on accounting, audit and taxation. PwC professionals will give lectures and hold practical training and master classes for students. Financial University students will also be able to do internships at PwC. Graduates of the university’s Economics Department can take part in PwC’s annual testing and selection process to work at the firm.

The PwC Chair will also help the Finance University in evaluating educational programmes for compliance with international qualifications standards, such as those of ACCA, Diploma in International Financial Reporting, etc.

Elizaveta Filipova, the PwC partner in charge of cooperation with educational institutions, says:
“We’ve been working with the Finance University for five years already. Creating the PwC Chair was the next logical step, and the goal is to build a system for putting together joint educational, methodological and research programmes. This is meant to bring about educational programmes and meet the demand for qualified specialists, taking the demands of today’s labour market into account”.
